Bio
Hi my name is Melanie Forbes. I was born and raised in Niverville - a small town in Southern Manitoba. I come from a large family. I'm married with two kids and two dogs.
I first started with St.Amant in 2005. I thought it would be a great summer job, little did I know I would still be here, 17 years later! I started as a Direct Support Professional, moved into management, and then moved into Corporate Education. One of the reasons I have been at St.Amant for so long is our company core values. I really feel that the work that I do has an impact on people's lives, and I enjoy working at an organization where I feel valued and connected to others.
I love my job as a Training & Development Facilitator at St.Amant. I get to use my passion for creativity every day as I develop professional training opportunities for employees. I enjoy learning new skills and supporting others to have those "lightbulb" moments of inspiration.
I am a lifelong learner. Whether it is building a presentation, working with some new technology or learning a new hobby, I am in my element when I am trying something new.
